Discover the heart of Historic Lisbon on a guided walking tour through Rossio, Alfama and Commerce Square. Explore centuries of history, enjoy stunning viewpoints and taste the traditional ginjinha!

We will begin the tour at Rossio Square, where we will discover the history of Lisbon's historic centre and its evolution throughout the centuries.

We will then walk through some of the city's most emblematic locations, including St. Dominic's Church, Figueira Square, Madalena Street, and the surroundings of St. George's Castle. We will also explore some of the most authentic corners of the Alfama district, enjoying its historic streets and several panoramic viewpoints overlooking Lisbon.

During the tour, we will stop for a tasting of ginjinha, Lisbon's most traditional liqueur, which is included in the experience.

The visit will continue to Lisbon Cathedral and St. Anthony's Church before ending at Commerce Square, beside the Tagus River.

Throughout the walk, we will explore the different civilisations that shaped Lisbon, from the Roman and Muslim periods to the Christian Reconquest and the Age of Discovery. We will also discuss the 1755 earthquake, the origins of fado, and the traditions that still form part of everyday life in the Portuguese capital.
